Inna’s Story
Winter in Ukraine is dangerously cold.
Many families fleeing their homes during the Russian invasion were unable to bring their pets with them, leaving many cats and dogs to fend for themselves. Thankfully, people like Inna and her daughter stepped up to care for these sweet pets separated from their families in the war.

Inna and her daughter left occupied Donetsk and moved to Odesa, where they saw the suffering of abandoned pets. They knew they needed help, so they took in as many pets as possible.
Inna quickly realized she didn’t have enough space, so she bought land to start her own shelter.
Now, Inna and her daughter have more than 90 dogs and 20 cats living in their shelter and 300 additional homeless pets under their care. They also feed free-roaming pets who live on roadsides.
